Nadia Sawalha reveals sombre funeral wish involving her daughter
Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha isn't shy about sharing her private life with fans - and now, she's revealed some of the wishes she eventually has for her funeral.
The panellists on the popular daytime show were discussing the particularly morbid topic of their ‘death wishes’, when Nadia made a confession about her own.
She revealed that she’s been inspired by a film called Captain Fantastic for her final send-off.
Nadia revealed, “There is a movie called Captain Fantastic. They are this hippy family. The mum dies and they all stand on this mountain and all have flowers in their hair and burn their mum in a funeral pyre.”
The Loose Women panellist went on to reveal that a rather special moment in the film is something she wants to replicate in real life – and it involves her 15-year-old daughter, Maddie.

She continued, “And the girl sings ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ and sings it so beautifully. I’ve given [my daughter] the task.
“She has to practice it all the time! I want her to do that, I need her to sing that at my funeral.
Nadia also confessed that a rather more humorous moment in the film is something she could see her own family doing when the time comes.
“Then afterwards they go to an airport and flush her down a toilet. And all her family stands around and they laugh and laugh.”
While fellow panellist Stacey Solomon was left horrified by the admission, claiming, “That’s the worst end ever!”, Nadia was insistent that she wouldn’t mind going a similar way.
The mum-of-two said, “No! My family all have that sense of humour. Then they get on a plane and go and do something wonderful.”
Nadia’s co-stars however had different ideas about how they’d like to be dealt with after their passing.

Anne Diamond revealed that she’d take inspiration from her name, saying, “I’d probably be made into a diamond!
“Basically, they super heat you to such a degree that it actually does carbonise into a diamond.”
Jane Moore also confessed that she’d rather be remembered with a spot in a place that’s very significant to her.
She said, “I don’t care what happens to me physically but there’s a fantastic church on Fleet Street and if you’re a famous journalist you get a seat if you die”.
