Oops: Justin Bieber’s ‘Purpose’ Tour T-Shirts Have a Major Spelling Error
Justin Bieber’s wardrobe for his new “Purpose” world tour is a highly styled, self-conscious affair, paying homage to streetwear heavyweights like Thrasher and Vetements and asserting the singer’s thoroughly of-the-now fashion sense.
Unfortunately, the merchandise hawked at the shows wasn’t given quite as much thought—or so it seems from the glaring spelling error that made it past the printers and onto the backs of T-shirts sold in advance of his tour kickoff last week:
As you can see, the line, a Bible quote from Proverbs 19:21, is supposed to read “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is God’s purpose that prevails.” Alas, the key word—purpose—is missing its secondp, which a few intrepid fans spotted and pointed out on Twitter.
A rep from Bieber’s camp told TMZ that they’ve recalled the erroneous tees and are offering exchanges for anyone who purchased one already.
